Now that our blog is up and running, you’ll hear a little bit from all of us at Welcome Books—what interests us, the books we like, and what we’re up to here in the office at 6 W. 18th St.
Things are in full swing for the Fall 2009 list, and we’re busy preparing for the release of our lead title, SLOW: Life in a Tuscan Town by Douglas Gayeton. We’ve been thrilled to get some good reviews from Travel & Leisure, Edible Marin, and Publishers Weekly, among others. To read them, see the SLOW minisite.
On the same page, you’ll see where Douglas is making stops as he goes on tour this fall. He’ll be all over the place, but if he’s not coming to your town, don’t fret: on November 18th, restaurants across the country (we’re hoping for around 50) will host “A ‘SLOW’ Taste of Tuscany” to help celebrate the book. We’re still selecting our list of delicious, “slow,” Italian restaurants, so if you have a great idea, we’d love to hear it.
Thanks for reading!
